The Incubator goes to market

On September 20 our Year 9 Incubator students practised their entrepreneurial skills during the $20 Boss Challenge. Students applied for a bank loan of $20 and were challenged to double their money by building a small business from scratch.

Port’s first Market Day was a huge success and featured a range of food, craft and novelty stores owned and operated by our students participating in our entrepreneurial program.

Students put their entrepreneurial skills to the test and made a collective profit of over $1700! Fifty percent of the profit was proudly donated to Vinnies to tackle homelessness and students were encouraged to invest the remainder in their own start-up enterprise!
